Hardware/Accessories - Closers
Which reinforcement would you use for a regular arm closer?
TA-10
Which reinforcement would you use for a
parallel arm closer?
TA-12
Which
reinforcement would you use for a surface mounted or double acting hinge?
TA-25
When using our TA-35 PVC casing, why can't
you use our TA-10 regular arm closer reinforcement and which closer would
you use?
Our TA-10 regular arm reinforcement is to thick,
which will not let you snap the trim over it, so we have modified it and
came out with the TA-10A reinforcement.
If a customer
wants to use a concealed closer with our frame, what is the best
recommendation?
A floor closer, using standard butt hinges to
hang the door, is the best recommendation. If floor conditions do not
permit, then a concealed closer mounted in the door and using a regular
arm mounting, is the next best solution. We do not recommend an overhead
concealed closer mounted in the frame header, as this requires you to
modify the header for a jamb bracket which would void any fire rating..
