m PRODUCT ATTRIBUTES AND CHARACTERISTICS
· Frames:
Ø Fire rated up to 90 minutes, borrowed lites fire rated up to 60 minutes, and sidelights fire rated up to 45 minutes.
Ø Accommodate 35 mm (1-3/8 inch) and 44 mm (1-3/4 inch) doors.
Ø Frames will hold a 500 lb door.
Ø Frame throat accommodates wall thicknesses: 57 mm up to 330 mm (2-1/4 up to 13 inches).
· Casings: “Snap-lock” design in five profiles.
· Accessories:
Ø Adjustable strike with 6 mm (1/4 inch) adjustment.
Ø Casing corner connectors, mitered corners for tight fixed positions.
Ø MiterGard corner connectors on factory build units using TA-8 casing.
Ø Casing clips, individually attached, heat-treated for tight fit to irregularities of wall surface.
· Features:
Ø Special fasteners assure a positive tight fit. Tabs correctly align frame sides and header for full-width.
Ø Fastener holes pre-punched. Oval alignment slots for visual check of frame spacing and adjustment during installation.
Ø Reversible hardware locations, no hinge handing required for 2032 mm (6’-8”) or 2134 mm (7’-0”) heights.
Ø Hinge reinforcement of 2 mm (14 gage), factory attached plates.
Ø Finish: Prefininshed with factory applied impact resistant, polyester baked enamel finish.

PRODUCT PLACEMENT
m PREPARATION
· Confirm opening dimensions, wall surface flatness tolerances, wall thickness, readiness for frame anchor.
m FRAME INSTALLATION
· Confirm opening for proper swing, sleeve header over wall.
· Hold jambs at angle and sleeve upper portions over wall. Push upward to engage jamb tops into space between aligning tabs and doorstop of header.
· Sleeve remaining jamb completely over wall. Rotate jambs if fit is tight.
· Pull header down to bring frame to finished floor, with blocking representing floor finish if not installed. Remove blocking to allow floor finish to be installed.
· Hang pre-fit door and close into opening. Adjust frame to achieve equal perimeter space tolerances from door edge.
· Fasten frame to wall substrate, hinge side first then header progressing to strike side last. Raise strike side to fit tight with the header. Fasten strike side.
· Fire rated frames require a fastener every 280 mm (11 inches).
· Attach snap on casings to clips, fit to tight miter fit.
m MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURES
· Cleaning: Remove temporary coverings and clean products in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
